1) The Challenge: Straight Stairs Aren’t Always Straightforward
With a main walkway on the bottom landing and open space directly either side of the bottom of the staircase and a need to safely take the stairlift user away from the top of the stairs for safe transfer on and off the stairlift, this straight staircase required more than a straight stairlift model could offer.

- The Right Fit: We advised on all suitable models but recommended the Modul-Air Smart curved stairlift, which has the thinnest diameter single stairlift rail in the world.
- 3D Digital Survey: Using advanced scanning tools, we built a digital model of the staircase to guarantee a perfect fit during manufacturing.
- Technical Drawing: Working with the manufacturer’s design team, the stairlift rail was expertly designed to fit the staircase with as little protrusion as possible.
3) Modul-Air Smart Stairlift Installed with Minimal Disruption

- Minimum Intrusion: The bottom rail start option used ensures the stairlift rail does not protrude into the open walkway downstairs.
- Staircase Access Maintained: An extra charging point a few steps up allows the seat and carriage to be parked out of the way.
- Safety For All: A custom-angle bend was used upstairs to take the user away from the top of the stairs without causing a trip hazard.
- Full Handover: We provided a complete demonstration, making sure both the user and others in the home were confident in its safe operation.
